A very rare solidus of Honorius from Thessalonica

Honorius, 393-423. Solidus (Gold, 21 mm, 4.45 g, 11 h), Thessalonica, 408-420. DN HONORI-VS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Honorius facing slightly to right, holding spear in his right hand and with a shield decorated with Victory, standing left on prow and holding wreath in her right hand, over his left shoulder. Rev. CONCORDI-A AVGG / TESOB Constantinopolis seated facing, head turned to right, holding scepter in her right hand and Victory on globe in her left, placing her right foot on prow; in field to left, star. Depeyrot 47/1 var. (differing shield decoration). RIC 350. Very rare. A lustrous and very attractive example with an interesting shield decoration. Extremely fine.
